Artillery Saints unleash “A Flurry Of Furies”

Scottish artist Ally McKenzie, better known as Artillery Saints, is hitting back with force on new single “A Flurry Of Furies”, lifted from his forthcoming album "Glimpse". Heavy, immersive, and emotional, the track plays less like a song than an argument, one that looks right into the cracks of now.

"A Flurry Of Furies" is embraced within the carefully crafted template Artillery Saints has constructed, with electronic underpinnings pulsing with tension and atmosphere. But there is an undeniable evolution here. "Glimpse" is a subtle but significant step forward from a Star, adding woodwind textures and hints of classical and jazz. But these elements aren’t softening the sound, they’re strengthening it, giving tremendous striking weight to a record and a story that similarly seek to engage with things on a scale similar to what McKenzie’s delving into. While initially conceived as an instrumental, "A Flurry Of Furies" has been reinvented to reflect the world we’re living in. The upshot is that it is the band’s most aggressive and in-your-face album to date. It looks at violence, chaos, and moral rupture straight on, conveying a sense of disquiet that’s both in the right now and far out.

A self-proclaimed sci-fi freak, McKenzie employs "Glimpse as a kind of peephole into parallel worlds, course corrections, and shattered timelines. The album’s title says it all, every track is a small window into what could have been, and what still can be, how political and personal worlds blend. "A Flurry Of Furies" sits at the heart of this vision, capturing the struggle between the world as it is and its multitudinous incarnations. With this release, Artillery Saints not only return but enhance the signal, giving clarity and a full-bodied statement that continues long after the last note is played.
