DAME electrifies the sunset strip once more with “Get on the Grooveline” a thunderbolt of rock revival

When DAME comes on stage with "Get on the Grooveline," they don't just walk on, they blow the doors off. The powerful Veronica Swift leads the Los Angeles rock band, which gives off a massive burst of energy that makes it feel like the Sunset Strip has come back to life, roaring and shining under a neon sky.

The song begins with a riff that evokes the sound of an old Marshall stack, carrying a lot of attitude. It captures the wild spirit of the Strip's heyday. But this isn't just a trip down memory lane, it's a new start. Sean Beavan (Guns N' Roses, Nine Inch Nails, Marilyn Manson) contributed to "Get on the Grooveline," a track that strikes a perfect balance between grit and gloss, showcasing a modern ferocity. Swift's strong voice cuts through the mix like a hurricane, taking charge of every beat with the kind of confidence that makes you think rock was made just for her lungs.

There is real chemistry here, especially between Swift and Brian Viglione, DAME's drummer and her real-life and creative partner in crime. Viglione, who helped start The Dresden Dolls, gives the band a theatrical art-rock touch that makes every crash and riff sound more dramatic.

DAME stands out because it can bring back the energy of classic rock while also moving it forward. "Get on the Grooveline" doesn't copy its heroes, instead, it dances with their ghosts, sweat and all. It's a love letter to a scene that won't go away quietly, it's defiant, electric, and very much alive.
