The Story So Far is back and revamped for their new single, "Big Blind. " It's a sun-soaked and high-octane preview of their anticipated new album, I Want To Disappear. One of the most awaited records of 2024, the group's first full-length in six years, is said to sport a reinvigorated sound, and "Big Blind" shows they mean business.
After the otherworldy streaming success of "All This Time" and "Letterman," "Big Blind" is a bone-shattering anthem that finds the NorCal crew honing their signature grit while inviting brazen sonic experimentation. The band adopted a new recording style with Jon Markson (Drug Church, KOYO) in the producer's chair, taking their dynamic interplay to new heights.
"We make a constant effort while tracking guitars to explore different combinations of guitars, front end color pedals, and amps during guitars," shares Markson. "As we started doing more songs, we weren't opposed to changing the setups on a per-song section basis. It just had to 'feel' right."
And it feels right it does. Everything that makes The Story So Far a quickly defining pop-punk force of a band is packed into "Big Blind," the urgent melodies, the tight instrumentals, and the emotionally stewing lyricism. Having racked up more than 10.5 million Spotify streams already overall across the album's early singles, fans are locked in and primed for the entire ride.
