Alas de Liona reveals hauntingly beautiful new single “For Forever”

Alas de Liona returns, but now, she delivers “For Forever,” a mesmerizing indie ballad that drips with gothic romance and creepy nostalgia. A mystical a.m. and b.m. fantasy, “For Forever”  displays her trademark cinematic narrative: a story of immortality, desire, and metamorphosis as seen through the eyes of a sullen vampire.

“For Forever”  opens with moody, tender introspection before developing into a soaring, synth-laden anthem. Haunting but by its nature anthemic, it encapsulates all the weight of immortality while moving through a ghost of a melody.

“For Forever”  also arrives with a gorgeous music video written and directed by Alas. Filmed with the haunting backdrop of Edinburgh’s shadowy streets, the video follows an isolated vampire deep in thought, then succumbs to a glowing Lost Boys-inspired metamorphosis. That eerie yet electrifying aesthetic lays the groundwork for Vespertina, Alas’ forthcoming vampire-inspired musical screenplay cryptically teasing the immersive universe she’s crafting.

A self-proclaimed fan of the supernatural, Alas de Liona combines her dense lyricism, cinematic production, and haunting vocals to create a single that sounds at once ageless and prophetic. It is ideal for anyone who likes their indie pop with a spooky twist.

With “For Forever,” she proves herself an artist unafraid to bend the lines between music, film, and fantasy, serving up a heady experience that will be as disorienting as it is memorable.
