What makes “Pieces” especially interesting is how it started. The idea came from a project where The Wil was asked to write music and lyrics to match a specific image. Among the options shown to him, one image stood out, a woman joyfully running on the sand toward a lake, looking back with pure happiness.
That moment inspired him to create a song about the fleeting connections and experiences that contribute to the bigger story of our lives. “Pieces” is refreshing because it doesn’t rely on fancy production to make an impact.
