Hate At First Sight push memories forward with the sharp edge of “Did You Notice”

Hate At First Sight is carving out its own niche in alternative rock, blending angular energy and modern hardcore sensibilities with a post-punk foundation. Their new music, “Did You Notice,” sits within Familiar Mutations, an EP that blends memories with forward-thinking experimentation.

The project also links strongly to darker electronic textures. Part of the project’s broader character is the use of bass rhythms and 80s synth sounds that remind one of Ministry and Nine Inch Nails, a fascinating contrast of rock ferocity and electronic mood. That mix makes “Did You Notice” part of a sound that won’t sit easily in any one category. Alternative rock is the base, yet hardcore, post-punk, and industrial-leaning textures stretch the boundaries.
