GIDEON UNNA finds paradise in the present on “Heaven Is Here”

GIDEON UNNA's "Heaven Is Here" has at its center a simple but powerful idea that maybe, just maybe, paradise is not something lying somewhere beyond our reach but something we can see in the life presently happening around us. The single makes that perspective into a loving, organic musical experience.

The music was a product of an interactive process. Longtime creative partner Lior Medan crafted the arrangement while vocalist Naomi added another emotional layer to the song. Those contributions combine to make the track feel intimate, while still sounding current.

Recorded at Yoav Asif’s home studio in Moshav Tzrufa, “Heaven Is Here” has an organic sound that suits the release's core message. There’s something suitable about a song about enjoying the moment being made in such a personal space. The production serves, rather than overwhelms, the idea, keeping the warmth of the performance and arrangement at the center. On a thematic level, the track is a nice complement to John Lennon’s “Imagine.” Unna focuses on the present moment rather than locating heaven in a future imagination or in a realm beyond the ordinary world. It’s a perspective that makes the song feel reflective without being distant.

“Heaven Is Here” works because its message is built on musical warmth and togetherness. It asks the listener to look again at what is around them already, and maybe make something spectacular out of an ordinary moment. In a world that so frequently pushes us to chase something more, GIDEON UNNA’s latest single gently nudges us to look to the present.
