Marley Davidson makes a bold leap into a new chapter with "Fragile," its first digital-only release. The track is both intimate and wide-ranging. The single plays like an after-hours confession and searching and very human, constructed atop a nervous current of thought and feeling.
"Fragile" is a showcase for Davidson’s songwriting and compositional voice, frail yet still assertive. The song is taut, as if every musical turn were searching for clarity and never fully finding it. This is like the inner struggle that embodies the song's spirit.
One of the key parts of the release is its rich orchestral background. The strings, penned by Alistair Steele, add a striking quality that elevates the tune beyond standard singer-songwriter fare. It’s played by an orchestra that has accompanied Welsh TV and film, and maintains what seems to be both precision and emotion. The broad textures they employ render each shift in tone distinctive.
There’s a movement to the song, both geographically and artistically. It was molded in Steele’s studio in Caerphilly. Steele’s work as a recording, mixing, and mastering engineer ensures that the sound is cohesive, such that no single part feels overworked, yet each seems delicately angled into position.

Brilliant work Marley
