Kevin Yang's debut release, "Turn It On," takes him out of the movie world and into a more personal, late-night glow. Yang is known for making soundscapes in other settings, but here Kevin goes for something more subtle and introspective, giving up grandeur for intimacy and spectacle for mood.
"Turn It On" is a careful mix of slow-burning dance-pop and alternative R&B that doesn't try to be too much of either. It doesn't say no, though.
