Electric Griot (Remix – Club Edit) is the newest collaboration between FDM Prince, DJ B&W, and Yazid On The Track that's giving Cluj Napoca's flourishing electronic scene a much-needed step forward on every dancefloor. This reimagining doesn't take you back to the original, it fully transforms it into a club experience that now feels intentional and alive.
The track centers around Afro House textures, deepening the rhythmic energy with a sense of ceremony. A purposeful build pervades, layered percussion and thumping bass establish thrilling drive, designed for after-dark dancefloors. The production creates space rather than swamping the listener, encouraging each strand to breathe whilst remaining concise and magnetic.
What struck me most was how well the remix kept the soul of its source while changing its intent. The "club edit" modus strips most of the introspective tones, sharpening the energy into something more kinetic and bringing individuals back to their ground units. It's less of a track you play in your earbuds and more of one you sit through together, where rhythm is an unspoken form of conversation.
DJ B&W and Yazid On The Track FDM Prince clearly knows how to set the mood into motion. The result is a song that follows no trends but instead embraces its identity, rhythm to the core, but is somehow intentional above all else.
