Eternal Mourning strikes deep with “Les Maux qui me blessent”

"Les Maux qui me blessent," the latest single from Eternal Mourning, is a thrilling and personal statement that shows how the band has grown since their first album, A Draft (2024), and their second album, What I Saw Is History (2025). Their previous work dealt with memory and the remnants of time, but this new song focuses on the wounds that words and silence leave behind, the small, often unnoticed gestures that leave the deepest scars.

Philippe Mourani wrote the lyrics, sang, played guitar, and played keyboards, while Pasquale Sacco played guitar. The song has an honest and complex tone. Mourani's voice shifts from weak to quietly intense, and Sacco's guitar work keeps the song grounded with a hint of tension. Their collaboration creates a sound that mixes folk, rock, baroque pop, and grunge, making a soundscape that feels both timeless and important.

What makes "Les Maux qui me blessent" stand out is that it doesn't try to avoid discomfort. It is direct yet reflective, addressing the heavy feelings of guilt and judgment that often go unspoken. The production of the song matches its themes, the instruments are kept to a minimum, but the atmosphere is rich, letting each note and pause ring out.
