Zentone returns with "Make You Cry" a soulful dub odyssey that speaks from the heart

French dub titans Zentone, the merging of landscapes between Zenzile and High Tone return with “Make You Cry,” one of the best songs from their magnificent third album, "Messenger". This new single exhibits all the profound respect for reggae history, technological experimentation, and rugged emotional honesty.

“Make You Cry,” with its opening bass strokes, establishes a fascinating rhythm from the outset. The vibe is warm and comforting, contrasting ancient reggae with present-day dub. This is not a flashy single, but it shines with serene strength. The echoes, delays, and subtle cadence modifications appear expertly placed, giving rise to a sense of reflection or transformation. The songwriter at the helm of the song is Jolly Joseph. He urges listeners to join him on his personal journey towards inner relaxation and recovery, with his gentle yet powerful tenor voice. He appears to be chatting with his listener rather than preaching, many traditional dubs subscribe to the mysteries of the universe or to the fusion of the universe. Joseph sings wholesomely about the difficulties of sharing oneself with another person.

What makes “Make You Cry” stand out from other songs is how grief and brilliance are integrated. In summary, Zentone forged a timeless-sounding pop track with a cutting-edge sense. This song seems to be from the 1970s, yet its energy is distinctly contemporary. This track is ultimately a sensation and an experience rather than just a listening pleasure. "Messenger" detailing the paths, means, and consequences of the day’s guardians. “Make You Cry” is a song that reverberates long after the last stroke of lost depth has dissipated, bringing people closer to reality.
