Cevret illuminate the warning in “Signs”

Today, we're proud to present "Signs," the scorching new single from Cevret, a song that makes Buffalo's stance on progressive metal/metalcore land sound brash and in your face, but one with a heart worn firmly on its sleeve. "Signs" is an insistent wake-up call. There are clues everywhere in us, around us, and far too often, we miss them until it's too late.

"Signs" lands hard. It makes you wonder what in life you've been missing and what alarms are, even now, yet to take heed. The songwriting has also matured. It's introspective without being indulgent, universal without being vague. This is clearly Cevret's most mature, robust offering to date. The engineer's touch gilds every growl, every screamed lyric, every melodic ascent, lending the song clarity without sanitizing its grit. The guitars jag and soar in flawless formation, the rhythm section locks into each other like a forge hammering iron, while the vocals slice through with emotional immediacy. It's remarkable how Cevret strikes a balance between ferocity and melody. Amid the roiling breakdowns and churning riffs, there are stretches of disquieting beauty, a spectral vocal line or sustained chord that heaves. You sense pressure and then relief in equal measure, as the track arrives to push you, work you over, unsettle, and then deliver you.

Attached to the aural blitz is a slick, visually rich professional music video that enhances the track's message and confrontational themes through visceral, graphic sequences that carry emotional gravitas.

In other words, Cevret's "Signs" is a bold statement. It's also their heaviest yet, but in many ways, it's also their most emotionally resonant. It's for fans of progressive metal and metalcore who are equally thirsty for brutality and depth. Keep your ears open and your eyes peeled, too, because "Signs" demands to be felt.
