Los Angeles-based hard rock unit BEAUTY SCHOOL DROPOUT has sparked the flame of their next era with "FEVER," a scorching new single full of urgency, angst, and independence from within. After several rambunctious anthems following their explosion in 2022, the band is now revving up for their highly anticipated debut LP "WHERE DID ALL THE BUTTERFLIES GO?," due by Sept. 5, and if "FEVER" is anything to go by, the temperature is only soaring.
Rooted in hard rock's gritty backbone and bedazzled by pop rock, "FEVER" is a storm, messy but methodical, emotional, and razor-sharp. Crafted by legendary producer Neal Avron, the track is a powerhouse lesson in fusing glossy hooks and raw edge. BEAUTY SCHOOL DROPOUT has never seemed more self-assured or unhinged and that's the whole idea.
"FEVER" has an explosive compositional landscape and describes the unfiltered emotion driving it forward. There's a fevered desperation built into every vocal scream and guitar squall, and the band embodies the relentless spirit that won't be denied. It's a song like running barefoot through fire, exhilarating, painful, and liberating simultaneously.
The crew, composed of Colie Hutzler, Beepus, Bardo, and Colton Flurry, has always been about pushing limits. But with "FEVER," they've pumped up the intensity and trimmed the fat around their message to something cuttingly real. This is about fighting free of whatever drags you down and claiming every scar in the battle. As a teaser for the forthcoming "WHERE DID ALL THE BUTTERFLIES GO?," "FEVER" is a warning shot. BEAUTY SCHOOL DROPOUT is here to shake things up. They're here to start a fire, and "FEVER" is simply the spark.
