Scottish native, LA-based pop singer-songwriter Natalie Clark strips the mask away with her new track "Nothing Left To Lose," the third release off her eagerly awaited debut on DVG Records. Co-produced with veteran L.A. producer Todd Spadafore (Wu-Tang Clan, Little Big Town, DJ Khalid), the song winds a bruised-hearted turn away from Clark's past oeuvre of head-turning pop anthems and finds her venturing deep into the realm of the achingly confessional, the acoustic.
"Nothing Left to Lose" feels like an open diary entry set to music. The gloss and grandeur of heavy production are gone, leaving the pure potency of storytelling. The song, featuring little more than stripped-down guitar work, raw harmonies, and Clark's signature, emotive voice, doubles down on its openness. And it pays off. Clark's reading is close but with a powerful undertone. Her tender yet unwavering voice carries the listener through fear, self-doubt, and empowerment.
"Nothing Left to Lose" is a hushed call to arms for the anxious, the unsure, and the dreamers who have waited too long. Clark's athletic bravery in delivering each line feels less like performing and more like extending an invitation to lose the fear and leap toward hope.
