Whetting the appetites of fans with their trademark blend of femme firepower and indefinable sound, the all-female, Vancouver-based five-piece delivers a sassy, razor-sharp dossier for the loudest in the room, and it's anything but subtle.
"big mouth" begins with a dreamy, lulling, melodious intro that lulls you into thinking everything's chill, then, suddenly, it snaps into a pulsating afrobeat groove that sets your shoulders a-bouncing within seconds. Don't get too comfortable. This track has teeth. Directing sharp punches at the overtakes and buzz killers is no-holds-barred NADUH. They chant wry sneer words, landing like rhythmic slaps to the ego. This isn't mere passive shade. It's a full-on reading enrobed in creamy vocal harmonies and a brash production. Oh, and it wouldn't be NADUH without fearless femininity, playful irreverence, and sharp social commentary, served on a silver platter of head-nodding basslines, infectious hooks, and seamless production.
"big mouth" is a clinic on how to make a point without even breaking a sweat. It's playful yet pointed, vibey but revengeful. The track is also a mirror and a dancefloor callout if you feel attacked, there's a good chance that you should. This is precisely why I love NADUH. They keep it real, fun, and hilariously over-the-top good.
