Maybesitter unveils debut EP, "how divine"

James Donnoli, aka Maybesitter, expertly traversed nostalgia and experimentation between eight mesmerizing tracks. Their latest, "How Divine," is free from such constraints. Clocking in at just over 20 minutes, how divine is proof that good songwriting is ageless, as the best out of the time and trends.

The title track, "How Divine," opens with hypnotically circular indie sonics and ethereal vocals. The groove is infectious enough to draw you, however unlikely, into maybesitter's dreamy but pop-aware soundscape. It's one of those tracks that sticks with you, demanding an immediate replay.

Of the many standout songs, "Something Else" captivates with its reflective whims, while "River Jumping Part 2" carries with it such an ease of beauty that it feels nostalgic, perhaps even escapist. Each track combines shimmering melodies with emotionally resonant lyrics, cementing Maybesitter's status in the indie music space.

With how divine, maybesitter offers a familiar-yet-fresh listening experience, an absolute sonic treat that begs to be looped.
