Luna Li spreads her wings with her new album "When a Thought Grows Wings"

Luna Li has released her most full-fledged full-length, "When a Thought Grows Wings." This sprawling odyssey explores heartbreak, self-discovery, and musical reinvention. Pitched with producers Monsune and Andrew Lappin, "When a Thought Grows Wings" arrives two years after her critically hailed Duality, representing a maturation in sound and narrative.

With 11 carefully constructed tracks covering baroque-pop, folk, and lounge rock, "When a Thought Grows Wings" transmutes personal turmoil into celestial beauty. It is what Luna Li refers to as a journey of her growth and transformation process, from the heartache of breaking an eight-year relationship to moving her life from Toronto to begin anew in Los Angeles. Every note is filled with emotion, and every melody is a stride towards her artistic and personal evolution.

"When a Thought Grows Wings" is about taking life into your own hands, letting little thoughts and wishes blossom into real and tangible action," says Li. "I was experiencing a time of great transitions in my life while creating "When a Thought Grows Wings," and throughout the process, I felt more connected to music and the amazing community of people around me than ever before."

Album highlights include Confusion Song, a dreamy rumination on uncertainty, and Fantasy, a prosperously arranged cut marries delicate harp work and hypnotic instrumentation. Throughout its 31-minute runtime, When a Thought Grows Wings embodies transformation, delicate yet feral, wistful yet future-seeking.
