Frank Renfordt shares soul-stirring new single, "Highway Blue"

Cumberland River Project head honcho Frank Renfordt is back with a heart-wringing new single, "Highway Blue." It carries the sonic warmth of classic country and the soul of Americana. Written and produced by Renfordt himself, it captures the timeless spirit of The Eagles, blending a rich, summer-tinged sonic palate with bittersweet notes of farewell and new beginnings.

"Highway Blue" captures the sense of an open highway stretching to the horizon where the past elapses in a rearview mirror, and the future is wide open. A seasoned musician, Renfordt recorded the bass and rhythm tracks, but the global collaboration within "Highway Blue" takes it to another level. The Argentinean musician Ender Mogollon lays on layers of acoustic guitar and banjo, building a textured base. The gruff emotiveness of the US guitarist JL Folks' electric plucking pervades like a thunderstorm's distant rumble when not connecting, Brazilian pianist Neemias Teixeira makes up the spaces with soulful, evocative phrases.

"Highway Blue" lingers long after the final chord dies, thanks to its glossy instrumentation, cinematic atmosphere, and wistful camaraderie. So, if you're after the sunset or just fantasizing about new horizons, Renfordt's latest single is made for the journey.
