Sophie Faith, Emerging UK singer-songwriter, returns with her most vulnerable and honest music yet, the highly anticipated six-track EP, "Hold My Drink, Watch This." which is out today via her label, Honey & Lemon Music, licensed by TLD Records. Set to be executively produced by the late, great Fred Cox, this project represents a pivotal moment for Sophie that documents the peaks and troughs of her late twenties: a period of toxic relationships, delirious evenings , and, ultimately, metamorphosis.
"Hold My Drink, Watch This." sixth single, 'KOKO,' is a love letter to those unforgettable nights spent at the legendary Camden venue, a homage to the promiscuous excesses and visceral chaos of that time. Beyond the pulsating energy, though, "Hold My Drink, Watch This." explores more profound, more vulnerable territory. Sophie deftly weaves her signature blend of the jazz-tinged soul with faux-melodic lyricism, as heard on tracks like lonesome 'Call You' and confessional 'Missing Me,' (both of which showcase the yearning and self-reflection that underpin her artistry).
A bold statement of resilience, Sophie (now ten months sober and feeling powerful) believes in this project. Working with longtime creative collaborators Youth XL and Fred Cox, she's created a body of work that's nostalgic and forward-thinking.
From Brighton to London, Amsterdam to LA, Sophie has lived in flux, creativity and reinvention. Now, with "Hold My Drink, Watch This." she asserts herself as a fearless storyteller, prepared headfirst into the next chapter with clarity, confidence, and an undeniable sound uniquely hers.
