Shweta Harve and Italian composer Dario Cei take it slow on their new single, "Why So Busy," a profoundly emotive, thought-provoking track that asks the question we're all too scared to answer.
Fresh from the success of their chart-topping collaboration Who Are You? featuring chart-topping hits #1 on the World Indie Radio from Harve and Cei and proving their magic again: soulful singing wrapped in the beauty of a slow-burning piano line.
A call to slower living, "Why So Busy" critiques our obsession with productivity, screen addiction, and the price of being "on" all the time. Driven by Harve's emotive, unvarnished delivery and a minimal but impactful arrangement by Cei, the song sounds both private and universal. The lyrics, inspired by real-life meetings, one in which a young woman gets run over by a corporate bully, are bruising, pushing people to take back their time before it's lost.
"Why So Busy" is very personal for Harve. Dedicated to her late mother, "Why So Busy" bears the burden of regret and the wisdom loss alone can impart. "Learn how to be present within any moment," she muses. "There's so much time I could've used with her, but I was working. Those moments are not going to come back."
