Junior Varsity releases a sonic wave with new single "Rushh"

Junior Varsity, an LA-based duo, is back with a new single, "Rushh," another electric jolt of adrenaline as they guide you on a high-speed thrill ride. Taken from their forthcoming EP SIDE B,  "Rushh" blends alt-rock grit, pop-punk nostalgia, and anthemic muscle, proving they are sound architects who melt musical genres into their vision.

Set against a backdrop of acoustic strums, throbbing beats, and an earworm hook, "Rushh" is an exhilarating love letter to reckless youth and the ropey intersection of euphoria and chaos. Front and center are Varteresian's impassioned vocals, which transfer an urgency that never lets up, as if driving down a wide-open highway with no end.

The accompanying music video is gorgeously cinematic and leans into  "Rushh" restless spirit. Set against the backdrop of sweeping mountains, it follows Varteresian as he travels in the back of a truck, surrounded by scattered trophies, symbols of past victories and ephemeral moments. Intercut with unfiltered music-video-style road-trip imagery, the video plays out like a fever dream, swelling and crashing like the unsteady high lives become when spent too far out on a limb.

With SIDE B, Junior Varsity proves that they're one of the more exciting acts in alternative music right now. They're willing to cross genres, challenge boundaries, and capture the sound of a generation standing with one foot in nostalgia and one in the unknown. If "Rushh" is any sign, this EP will hit hard.
