DJAMES unveils debut EP "GRATEFUL"

DJAMES is a London-based producer and DJ who has dropped his long-awaited debut EP, "Grateful." It is a five-track masterpiece full of Afrobeats, Afro-Pop, and Dancehall flavors. With luminaries of Nigerian music featured throughout, Grateful is a lively showcase for DJames' energetic production and artistic diversity.

Straight from the first line of 'Shako,' where he joins forces with the ever-eloquent 1da Banton, an infectious, rhythmic tone is set for the EP that ensnares listeners into its rhythm. The energy remains sky-high with 'Avalay,' another track that has generated significant buzz with Crayon's signature smooth vocals and catchy hooks.

Continuing the tradition of magic on the album, 'Love Me' sees Qing Madi bring a young and melodic touch that keeps the project feeling Afro-Pop, making it one of the album highlights. Shoday's soul-bearing vocals leave an imprint in 'The Best Thing,' an emotive offering that encapsulates what modern Afrobeats is all about. Rounding out the EP is 'What I Want,' featuring the ever-versatile Skales, who brings the noise and energy and makes sure Grateful ends on a pulsating note.

After building an extensive resume as one of the most in-demand producers in the industry, DJames has collaborated with some of the biggest names in the world's music scene, from Drake to Burna Boy and Asake. His effects' less seamlessness solidified his status within the Afro-fusion movement. Able to pioneer the sound made by the first white DJ to play at the legendary Lagos Corner at Notting Hill Carnival, DJames has always strived to connect people through music.
